Kaplan turbine is widely used in a hydro power stations with the head of 2-30 metres. It is equipped with a vertical axle, There are three defferent types of this kind in which there is an open trough or a pressure trough or closed concrete worm-shell trough.The turbine is made up of several propellers or manualy-ajusted blades. The water pipe at the end is vertical cone-shaped or elbow-shaped. The turbine with a diameter of 1000mm is votical cone-shaped. Therefore, it is fit for a small hydro power station with low head and load.
